He restores my soul.

Sometimes, life is all about holding hands at the right moment. It’s all about appreciating the enduring silence of the one sitting next to you. It’s about letting the world pass you by as you tarry in the rain, soaked to the skin.

It’s about forgetting “important” jobs and sitting at the threshold, scratching your dog’s belly.

And sometimes, it’s about heartbreaks too, about throwing caution to the air and telling that special someone how miserable you’d be without them even if it means that they’ll never turn back to look at you ever again.

Because, after all, life is all about making mistakes and learning from them, about falling, breaking down and gathering the pieces together to start from scratch again, about living each moment like it were our last.

I am thankful for this life that I’m living. Because I know, even if things might seem less than perfect at the moment, there’s joy in the imperfections too. There’s hope. That someday, everything will fall into place.

And even if they don’t, the One who matters will always be there.

He restores my soul. ~Psalms 23:3
