Love in the time of siesta.

His heavy breathing fills the room. She opens her eyes a wee bit and sees the back of his head, his short soft curls doing a little dance in the air from her breathing. She sits up, to watch him sleep. But he tugs at her hand.

“Where are you going? Don’t go.”

She falls back softly right where she was, behind him. He clasps her hand tightly and pulls her closer to him.

She feels his warm body move rhythmically against hers, as his breathing becomes heavy again.

She plants a soft kiss at the back of his neck. That’s when his heavy breathing turns into a soft snore.

She smiles.

Cupid seems to have done his job really well.
